Welcome Peter Sanders – President and Founder of ShotByShot – a web site and standalone Strokes Gained Analysis golf improvement app.
- Peter talks about the technical background that lead him to start to develop Strokes Gained Analysis in 1989 – first to help him improve his personal golf game!
- He first defines what Strokes Gained Analysis is. Why traditional golf statistics – like number of putts per round and fairways hit – do not really help golfers learn how to improve their games. And finally why the Strokes Gained approach will produce better improvement insights for golfers.
- He shares what the ShotByShot analysis approach does – how golfers who use the app apply it – and the important information that it tells golfers. In particular, he talks about what he calls “Relative Handicaps,” and his concept for identifying the “#1 Improvement Opportunity” using ShotByShot.
- Peter talks about some of the types of feedback that he gets from golfers who use ShotByShot. And the fact that he gets about 457 rounds entered into the app each day!
- He shares some interesting and fun stories from working with PGA Tour Pros, and in particular from working with Zach Johnson.
- Finally, Peter shares some Final Words on the value of using Strokes Gained Analysis to help golfers Play Their Best Golf!
