Welcome Class A PGA Teaching Professional John Hobbins, Director of Instruction at the Greenside Golf Academy in New York City, NY.
- John shares his Personal Story for how he got into the golf instruction business, and particularly how he developed a passion for helping golfers improvement their putting performance.
- He talks about some of the most important things golfers Do Not Understand about the value of creating great Distance and Speed Control in their putting.
- John discusses some “on the practice green” stories of how he shows golfers the important interactions between great Distance and Speed Control and effective Green Reading.
- He noted the One True Way to Take The Break Out Of A Putt – use a Bulldozer and a Shovel! (I love this “suggestion!”).
- John shares some of the tests and drills he does with golfers to learn how they putt, and to help them improve their putting performance. I especially love using a 48 Inch Marked Ruler.
- He talks about a young golfer who has become a great putter, and also a Tour Pro who significantly improved his putting performance.
- John ends by sharing guidance for ANY GOLFER who wants to putt better – If you are not a very good putter, why is that?
