Interview with Lou Stagner – The Golf Stat Pro, and Data Lead for Arccos Golf.
- Lou shares some of his Personal Golf Story, and what lead him down the path to becoming a Golf Stats Nerd!
- He shares his personal views about the value of understand Golf Stats to helping golfers to Manage Their Golf Expectations and Play Their Best Golf. And talks a bit about how he uses the Arccos Golf database to create interesting golf stats!
- Lou shares a number of interesting golf stats – including the fact that, on a 300 yard par 4 golf hole, a 5 index golfer averages 4.27 strokes when he plays that hole. And that a 5 index golfer averages 1.6 double bogeys or worse a round!
- He is an Assistant Coach for the Princeton University Golf Team. Lou talks about his passion for coaching, and some of the things he is doing to support the Princeton golf team.
- Lou is working on – in a partnership with Arccos Golf – writing a book on Golf Expectations. He shares a bit about the status of writing this book, and that it will have a focus on helping non-tour golfers play their best.
- Finally, Lou reminds us all that Having Fun On The Golf Course is what it all should be about!
