Welcome back (for the 8th time!) David Orr – Golf Magazine Top 100 Teacher, and creator of the Flatstick Academy in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
- David shares his efforts to apply his 7 Putting Improvement Principles to his efforts to improve his Skiing Performance.
- He talks about the value – in skiing and putting improvement – of doing technique work at home, and doing skill and process improvement work on the slopes and the putting green.
- David discusses how his skiing practice was Deep And Deliberate – he immersed himself in it.
- He improved his skiing “handicap” from 42 to 16 in the first year of his efforts. However, when he came back the next year, he started back and his handicap in his first race was 40. THEN he worked on his MENTAL SKILLS – and in the second year improved his skiing times by 7 seconds (a huge improvement!).
- There is a large section of the interview where he talks about improving his mental skills on the slopes, and how can improve our mental skills on the putting green. Do Your Job!
- Throughout the interview, he also discusses a lot of valuable information related to putting fitting and putting improvement.
- David entered the interview sharing that we can ALL improve our putting performance – no matter our age – and shared 9 specific points related to The Process Of Learning.
