The 8th AGCP Roundtable – EXCEPTIONAL Club Fitting!
AGCP Club Fitters are dedicated to EXCEPTIONAL club fitting to help golfers play their best!
This evening I returned from the 8th Association of Golf Club Fitting Professionals (AGCP) Roundtable. This is the 6th Roundtable that I have participated in. There were many great presentations at this Roundtable including:
1. John Schiavone's terrific presentation on EI and Frequency Profiling – most attendees have said this was the meeting highlight for them,
2. Dana Upshaw's presentations and demonstrations on how to effectively help golfers increase their driving distance, and how to use adjustable hosel driver in fitting,
3. Bob Uebelhor's presentation on how putter balancing can affect a golfer's putting stroke,
4. Bill Kelly's presentation on ways to use Counterweighting to improve a golfer's driving, iron play, and putting,
5. Keith Chatham's classes on Iron Shaft Tip Equalization and Iron Shaft BMT Sorting,
6. Jim Holley's presentations on how to search the AGCP forum database to find information from past posts, and how to more effectively organize a club fitter's office materials, and
7. Roy Nix's presentation on how club fitter should effectively market their businesses and their capabilities.
(And – based on feedback from some of the attendees – my presentation on methods to improve putter fitting and putting improvement using the SAM PuttLab).
Tonight, in thinking back on the meeting, one theme keeps coming into my head. All of the learning activities were dedicated to helping AGCP fitters be EXCEPTIONAL in what we do to help golfers play their best golf. If you look at the topics I have noted above, I am willing to bet that you will not see these used anywhere but by True Custom Club Fitters. We differentiate ourselves by providing golfers way more than they will get when they go into a typical golf store for a "fitting." And we all work to get better each and every day by asking questions of each other and continually improving what we do to help golfers play their best.
If you want to REALLY be fit for golf clubs and play your best golf – see an AGCP Fitter! (AGCP Fitter Locator page)
