Two Plus Great Ways To Lower Scores!
Two Plus Great Ways To Lower Scores!
KEYS To Shooting Below 80 AND Lower
Today – My Golf Game – two double bogies, two three putts – 84. The way I played is consistent with the suggestions in these two good articles I read today…
Low Handicappers Do This 1 Thing Much Better…
Mark Leishman – To Break 80, Never Aim At Pins…
I think there is a delightful simplicity in what these two articles suggest – reduce the number of double bogies you make, and stop aiming at pins.
The other great guidance suggested, but not emphasized enough, was in the first article. Scratch golfers on average make 2 birdies a round, 8 handicap golfers make on average 1 birdie a round, and 20 handicap golfers on average make just a bit more the 0 birdies per round. So – as Scott Fawcett who created the DECADE course management system emphasizes – STOP TRYING TO MAKE BIRDIES!
AND if you want to use a very simple but powerful way to track your game mistakes, and look for opportunities to improve your scoring – well, The Tiger Five is a great way to do that.
