Attend To The “Small” Stuff!
Well – Maybe It Is REALLY The BIG Stuff….
Me? – do I have an Attention Issue? Well, let’s see. Back in December of 2020, I was doing some exercises to attempt to gain driver swing speed – and I hurt my left hip – and had to do physical therapy for about a month. The PT was successful, and was able to get back to golf.
Now let’s go back about 6 weeks ago – again, doing some different things to try to gain swing speed – THIS time though issues with right hip. Added to this though, a long term issue with my left heel where I have a heel spur that has been there for a long time. Both hurt. And again keeping me from golf.
Luckily, I have a great source for physical therapy – Oak Ridge Spine and Sport. First session today, and pretty confident they can help a lot.
What is interesting, though – about a week ago I started again doing the exercises that I was doing last January, and already can see they are helping.
ALSO interesting is that I am starting to go to work out at a local Planet Fitness gym – for right now 30 minutes, 3 times a week, in a recumbent bike – and that also seems to help my hip issues.
Maybe I will get it now – I better start doing the right things to keep my body in shape, and maybe also not get so hung up on trying to create more swing speed.
