There were so many great moments about Jon Rahm’s Masters win this past weekend. But for me, the top one happened in his first round. He started play with a 4 putt – and then I believe made 8 birdies and shot 65! I mean, how tough mentally do you have to be – on the biggest stage – do be able to do something like that!
This Golf Digest Article shares what went through his mind after that 4 putt. Not only did he remember Seve’s “I miss, I miss, I miss, I make” statement about a Seve 4 putt – but he reflected that he felt he had hit 4 great putts. Life goes on – and he did with the 8 birdies.
