The POWER Of “Aggregation Of Marginal Gains!”
My son David is actively involved in the sports activities of his two sons Emerson and Madux. He is ALWAYS talking about the importance of what he calls the “Aggregation Of Marginal Gains” in the improvements each of them makes when they play sports.
After the ShotByShot Podcast Episode I posted last week, it hit me that “Aggregation Of Marginal Gains” is embodied in the concepts related to Strokes Gained. So here is a little background on Aggregation Of Marginal Gains – and also how to implement it in your golf AND your life.
I first heard of this concept in the James Clear now classic book Atomic Habits – where he talked about how in 2010 the director of the British Cycling Team, Sir Dave Brailsford, used it to help his team create an amazing string of successes. Watch THIS SHORT VIDEO to get a sense for some of the things that they did – focusing on what may seem like small improvements that led to BIG results.
What Are The 1% Improvement Areas In Your Golf Game – In Your Life?
To help you find ways to implement this approach – I just found a 24-page James Clear document titled “A Brief Guide on How to Master the Art of Continuous Improvement.” Download it at THIS LINK.
Almost every page of this 24-page document has something that can help you in whatever your quests are in your life. Of course, one of them HAS to be better golf, right?
